Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur under the aegis of Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Gol is in process of engagement of apprentices for period of 12 months training in the following disciplines.

A Walk-In Written Test followed by Interview will be held on 28-03-2018 (Wednesday) at Integrated Test Range, Chandipur for selection and engagement of Technician (Diploma) Apprentices on purely temporary basis.

Terms & Condition for selection of Apprentices:

1. Candidates must have registered their names at http://www.mhrdnats.gov.in/. Nonregistered candidates are likely to be rejected.

2. The fresh pass out candidates (only up to 3 years after passing their degree & those who are appearing for their final semester exam) can apply.

3. Diploma degree holders who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after attaining the essential qualifications shall NOT be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice under the act.

4. The period of training will be 12 months commencing from execution of the Contract of Apprenticeship.

5. Reservation will be applied as per the provisions of the Apprentice Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules 1992 as amended from time to time. Applicants belonging to SC
(Scheduled Caste)/ST (Scheduled Tribe)/OBC (Other Backward Classes) – Non Creamy Layer shall produce their caste certificate in prescribed format issued by the
Competent Authority.

6. Selected candidates shall undergo Medical Examination and will have to be declared ‘Medically Fit’ before execution of the Contract of Apprenticeship.

7. Verification of credentials shall be done prior to conduct of Personal Interview only and in case of any deviation from or non-conformity with the desired qualification, candidature of the candidate shall be summarily rejected.

8. No TA/DA will be paid to the applicants called for any stage of the selection process.

9. The selected candidates must execute a Contract for a period of 12 months of training as per provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and rules framed there under.

10. Before coming for Interview the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in the advertisement.

11. It shall not be obligatory on the part of the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur, where training is imparted, to offer any employment to any apprentice after
completion of period of his/her apprenticeship training.

12. Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification at any stage of the selection process.

13. ITR reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of seats for apprenticeship training.

1. Sports Disciplines. Boys of Indian citizenship who have participated at international I Junior National Championship in Yachting/ Sailing.

2. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
(a) Educational Qualifications. Minimum class 5th std pass with adequate knowledge of English and Hindi.
(b) Sailing Proficiency. Should have participated in Nationals (Junior)/ International events or adequate experience of sailing.
(c) Age: 12 to 15 Years
(d) Medical Standards.
(i) Medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as per medical standard prescribed.
(ii) No Cardio-vascular disease, surgical deformities like knock knee, flat feet etc. Infection ears, no history of fits or psychiatric ailment, vericose veins, corrective surgery for eye sight etc.

(e) Applicant will deposit certificates of medal/ participation in YAI Youth Nationals/ Inter club Sailing Championship. Priority will be given to boys attaining top position in YAI Nationals.
Note: (a) Candidates are advised to get their ears cleaned for wax and tartar removed from teeth prior to examination.
(b) Tattoos. Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reversed side of palm/ back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body is not acceptable and candidate will be barred from recruitment.

6. Selection Criteria. A dedicated team of NBSC and officials will conduct the trials 1 induction in a total transparent manner. Parents / Guardians are advised not to interfere in the selection procedure. Any query they should have are to be addressed to the selection team only.The selection rally will be undertaken at the specified time and venue. For selection trials the selection will be open for three days. The selection procedure is as follows:
(a) Short-listing criteria will be based on higher sailing achievements.
(b) All original certificates and mark sheets are to be produced at the time of selection trial.
(c) Candidates declared medically Temporary Unfit in the selection medical examination can avail specialist review from the specified Military Hospital within a maximum period of 21 days. No further reviewlappeal is permissible.
(d) Candidates declared Medically Permanent Unfit in the selection medicals can appeal for Specialist opinion in a Military Hospital within 21 days on payment of Rs. 40/- by Military Receivable Order (MRO) on Government Treasury. (Medical fitness certificate other than that of the specialist opinion in the designated Military Hospital will not be considered). No further review/appeal is permissible.
(e) The select list based on vacancies will be prepared from the candidates who qualify in selection trials and found medically fit.

10. Training. Selected candidates will be provided academic training from VI to X Std free of cost in English medium in KV, Mandovi, Goa besides intensive coaching in sailing will be also provided by Sports Authority of India (SAI) coaches l naval coaches. On passing Class X exam, the candidates will be put through selection process as applicable for enrolment into the Indian Navy.

11. Weeding Out. Boys are liable to be weeded out as UNSUITABLE due to unsatisfactory performance at any time during the training. Additionally, they are liable to be discharged if sports performance does not improve to expected level or in-discipilinary / medical grounds.

12. The Boys who are selected but subsequently disqualified due to concealed facts hiding information / not showing progress or indiscipline will be rejected and cost of training will have to be reimbursed by their parents I guardians.
